PRIVACY POLICY

The FoxyDeal browser add-on (in the further “Add-on” named) is brought to you by R&E Media GmbH (in the further “REM” named). This Policy and terms of use helps you to understand what information we collect from you, when you use the FoxyDeal Add-on and how we use that information. It also includes some terms relating to the permitted uses of the Add-on. By downloading the Add-on you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms of this Policy.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

The Add-on does not collect any personally identifiable information from you through your downloading and use of the Add-on.

When you use your browser to search for products on certain retail websites, the Add-on enables your browser automatically to check other similar sites to see if other retailers are offering the same product at a lower price. If that product is available on a different site at a lower price the Add-on will notify you of the lower priced product and provides you with a link to the third party website offering the lower priced product.

REM does, however, collect the following information via the Add-on:

• the URL of the site that you originally search for your chosen product on.
• the characteristics of the product that you search for.
• the url of any site that you visit that is notified to you by the Add-on.
• other anonymous technical and routing information relating to your product search and any visit that you may make to a third party site that you were alerted to by the Add-on. This information may include your IP address, but you will not personally identifiable from this information.

 We may also receive some information from third party websites that you visit via a link provided by the Add-on. This information will include the pages that you visit at that website and information about whether you choose to purchase a product from that website. We will not receive any personally identifiable information about you from the third party the operates that website and will only use any information that we do receive in accordance with this Policy.

COOKIES

The Add-on uses cookies to enable REM to collect the information referred to above and to ensure you get the most benefit out of the Add-on. Cookies are small amounts of information that are stored on your computer that allow us to monitor website traffic. If you do not wish cookies to be installed on your computer for these purposes, you may change the settings on your internet browser to reject cookies. For more information please consult the “Help” section of your browser. If the end user chooses to click on an advertiser offer they will be redirected to the partner’s (aka advertiser’s) site via affiliate cookies.

HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT?

REM will only use the information that is referred to above for the following purposes:

• to enable the Add-on to retrieve information for you about lower priced products from other retail websites.
• to enable us to optimise the performance of the Add-on.
• to administer our relationships with the operators of the supported websites from which we provide you with information about lower priced products.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

REM may disclose the information collected by it to (i) any third party to whom disclosure is necessary to enable the Add-on operate as described above (ii) any person to whom disclosure is necessary to enable REM to enforce its rights under this Policy (iii) any holding company or subsidiary of REM, (iv) any purchaser of any of the assets or undertaking of REM or any purchaser of the Add-on

Other than as expressly set out in this Policy or as otherwise required or permitted by law, REM will not share, sell or distribute any of the information that it collects via the Add-on without Your consent.

SECURITY AND DATA RETENTION

REM employs security measures to protect the information that it collects from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. REM may retain the information that it collects for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires or permits.

THIRD PARTY SITES AND CONTRIBUTORS

The Add-on generates links to websites and microsites that are operated by third parties. We do not control those websites and microsites and REM expressly does not give any endorsement of or warranty, representation or guarantee in respect such websites and microsites and hereby disclaims to the fullest extent permissible by applicable law any liability in respect of thereof. In addition, this Policy does not apply to those websites and microsites. Please consult the terms and conditions and Policy of those third party websites and microsites to find out how they collect and use your personal data and to establish whether and for what purpose they use cookies.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All copyright, trade marks, design rights, patents and other intellectual property rights (registered and unregistered) in and to the Add-on including without limitation the name FOXYDEAL are and shall be owned by REM. You may only use the Add-on and information retrieved by it for you for your own personal, non-commercial use and you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or otherwise use the Add-on or any information retrieved by it for you for any other purpose. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from the FoxyDeal Browser Add-On or any information retrieved by it except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of FoxyDeal Browser Add-On or any information retrieved by it requires the prior written permission of REM.

The names, images and logos identifying REM or third parties and their products and services are subject to copyright, design rights and trademarks of REM and/or third parties. Nothing contained in this Policy shall be construed as conferring any licence or right to use any trade mark, design right or copyright of REM or any other third party.

DISCLAIMER

The Add-on and information retrieved by it including any information regarding or relating to third party products and services, is provided “AS IS” and on an “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the extent permitted by law, REM excludes all representations and warranties (whether express or implied by law), including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy of the Add-on or any information retrieved by it.

REM shall not be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such damage or losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Add-on regardless of the form of action.

REM do not warrant that the Add-on will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or free of viruses or bugs. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to implement sufficient procedures and virus checks (including anti-virus and other security checks) to satisfy your particular requirements for the accuracy of data input and output.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may withdraw your consent for us to collect and process your data at any time by uninstalling the Add-on.
